The following list is not associated with the Learning Center and is only provided as an aid for students searching for additional tutoring help.

Departmental Tutors

  • Biology
    The Biology Department has a list of tutors for hire in Tucker Hall, Room 3.

  • Chemistry
    The Chemistry Department offers a list of tutors for hire by calling them at 573-882-8374 and they will email the student list to you.

  • Economics
    A list of students who do personal tutoring for Economics is available in the office located at 118 Professional Building.

  • Engineering
    Engineering Help Sessions

     Contact Teri Pinhero at pinherot@missouri.edu or (573) 882-7233 for individual engineering tutoring.

    Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) is offering FREE Computer Science/Information Technology tutoring by experienced upperclassmen. They will be held on Thursdays from 5—7 pm in Engineering Building West 239.

  • Geology
    The Geology Department has tutors for hire in 101 Geological Sciences Building.

  • Mathematics

    The mathematics department has a list of tutors available at:

  • Music
    The Fine Arts Department has a list of tutors for hire in 135 Fine Arts Building.

  • Other Languages
    The German & Russian Studies Department, located in 448 Strickland Hall, can recommend graduate students that can do private tutoring for Arabic, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

  • Personal Financial Planning
    There are TA office hours available in 240A Stanley Hall for PFP 2183. Make sure to check with your teacher for times since they are constantly changing from semester to semester.

  • Physics
    The Physics Department offers help for students on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 6 PM in 436 Physics Building.

    There is a list of tutors for hire in 223 Physics Building posted on the board.

  • Psychology
    There is a list of Psych tutors for hire available in 100 McAlester Hall.

  • Romance Languages
    The Romance Languages Department has a list of available Spanish, French, Italian, & Portuguese tutors for hire available at 143 Arts & Science Building.

  • Statistics
    A list of students who do personal tutoring for Statistics is available in the office located at 146 Middlebush Hall.
