About the Writing Center
The MU Writing Center has been a division of the Learning Center since its establishment in 1976. Now serving
approximately 2500 undergraduate students per year, tutors at the Writing Center assist students from diverse cultural and
educational backgrounds and with varying levels of writing experience. The Writing Center primarily operates out of the
Student Success Center, which is located directly across from Ellis Library on Lowry Mall, and also provides tutoring
services at Ellis Library and in
the computer labs at Respect Hall, Center Hall, Lower Bingham, and Tiger Diggs at Campus View Apts.
Furthermore, the Writing Center offers extended support by providing cybertutorials and additional writing resources at the
Online Writery.
