The Learning Center can provide tutors to conduct study sessions. If you are a registered student organization with an academic focus, you can request a tutor for a study session.
Presentations are fulfilled based on tutor availability. To request a study session, please click on the button below to take you to the request form, and complete the form at least 3 weeks in advance of the anticipated event. If you have questions, please email us or call (573) 882-2493. If your group needs assistance with specific academic success topics, please request a presentation.
Study Session Policies
- This service is only for Academic/Professional Organizations/Fraternities, defined as organizations that promote interest of a specific profession or field and aid members in their career ambitions.
- The location of study sessions are arranged by the Learning Center
- Requests must be for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 students
- Requests must be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance of the requested session
- Provide up to 2 preferred dates on the request form
- Sessions must be requested Monday through Thursday, between 3-7 pm
- We cannot fulfill requests for days the campus will be closed
- If campus closes due to weather, any scheduled study sessions will be cancelled
- Tutor support must be requested on the request form, otherwise, a tutor will not be provided
- The maximum length of a study session is two hours
- Tutors cannot do an entire exam review just for your group
- Students attending the session are expected to come with questions
- Organizations can request a specific course topic on the form
- Requested course topics must come from a course tutored in Tiger Tutors. See subject pages for a list of courses we support
- As part of your request, you agree that the tutor will give a short outreach presentation about the Learning Center’s additional services
